Dick Clark... "I'm the production guy. I handle all the purchasing, scheduling, preparation and all the carving. Joe helps out for any fancy painting like blends or pictures, but I direct the show. I get to see the jobs unfold before my eyes, step by step, from raw materials into things of lasting beauty. It's exciting to step back at the end of a project and realize I've created something of substance and permanence that will quite literally change the face of the community.

Joe Rees... "I'm the designer. I take the clients ideas and transform them into visual form which is one of my favorite activities. I do the bulk of the sales and presentations, and dealing with permit issues. I also make all the patterns for the sign panels and all the lettering stencils for Dick to carve from. Almost all of what I do is accomplished at the computer which thrills me. It's great having someone of Dick's calibre on the production side to keep things flowing smoothly."
