This signpainter taking his lunch break depicts a "circuit" CocaCola painter re-doing a faded wall. He´s only gotten about 1/3 finished when break time came.
The original concept called for him to be holding a hand full of brushes and reading his work order from CocaCola. I saw this as a chance to honor the traveling "Wall Dogs" who created and maintained this
brand of American pop culture. My client (A&C Pizza and Subs in Downtown St. Pete. Fla) saw it as a chance to promote their restaurant business. Any question who won?
The chains on the tailgate and the ladder with the can of "One Shot" red lettering paint are real props. Everything else is painted on flat 3/4" MDO plywood. The 3-D display is set up about 6" in
front of an actual painted stucco wall.
