On June 9th this new identity for the Goose Hummock Outfitters shop in Orleans finally went up. We really feel this one job is the pinnacle of our achievements in sign building to date. It utilizes top materials and finishes throughout, and just about every trick we know. Original design by Joe Rees incorporates the clients existing logo into a lodge theme befitting their product mix and their stature in the community. This one was fun!

Construction details;

• Posts - 8" round cedar poles satined with two coats of semi-transparent oil stain for color fastness and protection. Hammered copper caps are treated with patina accelerator.
• Main Ovals - 46"x 68" ovals are cut from 4mm Alusuisse Dibond aluminum panels and painted with hardened automotive epoxy paints and clear coated. "Outfitters Since 1946" copy is surface lettered and shadowed, sealed under the clear coating. Frames are 1.5" thick 18lb. High Density Urethane with faux woodgrain finish, gilded bevel. Frames are in four parts with seams hidden by name banner and by heavy copper clips at top and bottom center.
• Appliques - Goose attachments are 1.5" HDU, handcarved in relief and also epoxy painted. Cattails are 1" thich HDU with clear coated copper tubing for stems.
• Name Panels - Appearing to float above ovals are cutout panels of epoxy painted 4mm Dibond aluminum composite with 3/4" chiseled and 23k gold gilt HDU letters attached.
• Rider Panels - Lower panels spanning uprights are 3/4" Solid PVC, painted with automotive epoxy and surface lettered with vinyl.
  
  All materials and finished on this project were chosen for maximum durability and extended maintenance. We anticipate many long years of pristine stability from this system. Goose Hummock kept their last sign for 40 years. Now they have another that, with a little luck will carry them in a much grander grander style, just as far into the future.
